Grandma Day

Every year during the summer, my mom takes my kids and I on a little adventure for a day. To the park, petting zoo, etc. This year, we went to the Sturgis Pretzel Factory and learned how they make pretzels. Then went over to Lititz Springs Park to play on the playground, had a picnic lunch and fed the ducks. And my favorite part...ended the morning with ice cream from Freeze and Frizz. No one was complaining! The kids always look forward to this time together with Grandma. I just get to tag along.

Raystown Weekend

We always look forward to this time with extended family. Away from the normal routine of life. Tenting, eating smores, campfires, boat rides, swimming in the lake, games, lounging, etc. It had been a few years since we tented and decided if we didn't soon get back into it, we never would. The boys had their own tent and Hadassah was in Eric and I's tent. It went well, except for the sleeping part ;) Malakai went tubing for the first time and I got back up on skiis...I think it had been about three years ago. Took me a few tries and I wanted to give up, but I persevered and was able to have a good fun run. Our summer has been filled with many adventures and this past weekend was another memorable one for all of us.

Bundy Bunch

Last time we did this was six years ago. Time changes things for sure! This family knows how to live a life of love and sacrifice. Their home is in Spain but for the next several weeks, it's here in the US of A. You can't be near them without laughing. There is so much joy coming off of them and I always leave feeling refreshed and like I was in the presence of good friends...even though we've only met a few times. We had a great (and probably too early) morning capturing their love for each other...
