A two hour long car ride, hungry boys, and a little bit of sickness coming on equals..."I'm not in the mood to have my pictures taken". It took some coaxing, but we made it! Eric's cousin, Justin and his family came down on Friday night for their annual family pics. It never fails, at the very end of the session when I'm finished, the real smiles and personality come out. So I've learned to not even put the lens caps on and just be prepared to keep shooting, when they least expect it. Corn fields and fall weather will do that to little boys...brings out the best in all of us I guess. Here's the cutest little family...
We usually have something booked on our Saturdays so it was nice to finally be at home enjoying each other as a family this past weekend. Eric turned 30 and shot a deer with his bow and arrow. The season opened at 6:30am and he got her at 7am. Does it get any better? So the rest of the day, we played some new yard games, took a nap, grilled some steak and shrimp, went to the walking trail with Gideon too, had a campfire, and watched a movie. Sounds like a lot, but it was so relaxing. We were at Mom and Dad's last night for Eric's birthday supper too. Here's a little peak into our weekend.
