Alex & Amanda-May 20th

It was a beautiful spring day for another wedding. Alex and Amanda were such a fun couple to photograph. It was a wedding filled with lots of emotion and love. The bride and groom left the church in a bronze colored '68 Camero that was fully restored by Alex himself! Riverdale Manor gave a perfect back drop for outdoor pictures. The rain that was supposed to come never did show up. Here's a few images to give you a taste of what the day held.

Jesse & Laurie-May 19th

Eric and I had a double header and did two weddings in one weekend! That was quite a marathon. This was the first of the two. We beat the rain and got some great shots at the Charles Farm in Millersville.

How this all started...

A little over a year ago I was given a gift. The gift was my own photography business...Radiant Images. Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed taking pictures. I come from a long line of photographers in my family starting with my grandpa, then my dad and now myself. I continue to be amazed at how this endeavor progresses.

February of 2006 my husband, Eric and I were at a worship conference and the LORD began speaking to me about photography once again. The word "radiant" came to mind and so I asked Him to confirm it. A scripture soon followed, "Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." Psalm 34:5

Well, that was all the confirmation I needed. I had already done several engagement portraits with our point and shoot digital camera. Over the next few weeks, we prayed for a specific amount of finances in order to purchase a large digital camera. The exact amount showed up and I knew that the LORD had something big in store for me regarding my love of photography. I never imagined that one day I would have my own photography business.

March 1, 2006 I bought my camera and Radiant Images was birthed. I had a good friend who was also a photographer, give me some one-on-one mentoring for several months. Since I had never had a photography class in all of my high school and college years, I had a lot of technical wisdom to gain. The teaching from my dear friend was priceless.

Last June I shot my first wedding and knew I was falling in love with this profession. The greatest day of any couple's life...I get to be there capturing the emotion of it all. What an honor. Now almost a year and a half later, I have shot several weddings, senior portraits, family portraits, and numerous other occasions such as 50th birthday parties and pregnancies.

My heart is to bless people with my work...to give them photographs that take them back to the exact moment they were taken, in an instant. The LORD has called me to this profession and I absolutely love it. The people that I am meeting, my clients, are special gifts to me. I believe that God will finish the good work He has started in me and in Radiant Images. This is just the beginning!
