Landis Family

We are cousins. We are neighbors. I did all of their senior portraits. Captured family sessions over the years. I was babysat by Deb as a kid and now her daughter, Corissa babysits our kiddos. I love these people! We had a fun evening romping around their farm, trying not to sweat to death.

Summer Night

The two oldest spent the day yesterday at Dutch Wonderland with Grandpa and Grandma and came home happy and tired. So thankful for the many different memories they can make with their grandparents this summer. Eric and I had a flashback of what life was like when we only had two young children. I got out my camera and video camera. Shared a real conversation with my husband, uninterrupted. It was quite relaxing. So, I caught a few images from the evening. Just when I put my camera down, the two oldest showed up and immediately began telling stories from their day and climbing our pine tree. Everyone was happy to be back together again, in all the beautiful chaos!

Cutest Little Crocs...

...I ever did see. We have 8 little feet on the ground these days. Four on the floor! Noah loves his new skill of walking and he travels far and wide. All.Over! Momma doesn't have to work out, just chase the toddler all around. On the plus side, he now throws his diapers in the trash on command! And boy is he ever proud of himself. Hah!

Baby Catherine: 3 Weeks Old

She is named after both of her great grandmothers. A true miracle after many prayers were prayed for a baby to join this dear couple. Her mama and I go way back, as in...she was my matron of honor in our wedding over 13 years ago. Sometimes we have to take the long road to get to our dreams, but there is so much beauty in the journey of the long road. Like a lazy Sunday afternoon drive on back roads vs. just getting on the highway and getting to your destination quickly. Sure, it's not the most time efficient, but that doesn't always matter. Catherine, you were thought of long before your mommy and daddy ever laid eyes on you. There is so much love surrounding you and as you are held by many beloved family and friends near and far, they will say, "It is good to feel the weight of a miracle!" You are so loved little darling...

 

 

 

Acevedo Family

We had a wonderful reunion. It had been six years since I photographed their wedding and this past weekend I had the privilege of doing some family portraits for them. Romping around my aunt and uncle's farm, we enjoyed a warm summer evening together. They are full of joy and laughter!
