Alexandra: Senior

Meet Alexandra Grace. Affectionately known as "Deedle". She likes scissors, cats, and musical instruments. Has memorized incredibly long strings of numbers (like pi) for no apparent reason. And has read a lot of books. She sings all the time. Even the entire duration of our photo session, she was humming a tune. She is the stage-manager for her high school's theatrical productions and calls herself the quintessential “band geek.” She plays the clarinet and saxophone and in addition to singing and dancing, participates in marching band, chorus, concert band, show choir, and jazz band. Whew! Also a competitor at National History Day and a member of the Quizbowl team. In addition to school activities, she works in food service and volunteers in music therapy at a local retirement community. This fall, she plans on attending Hillsdale College, in Michigan, to study english and history. She says the only thing she can definitely foresee in the long-term future is that she will most likely be living with cats—at least three. I love her honest heart and beautiful spirit.
