Almost 2 weeks ago, my dad had shoulder surgery on his left shoulder and is now in a sling for several weeks. Surgery went well, but recovery and rehabilitation is a long and slow road. Kind of makes his job as an auto mechanic a little challenging. And trying to keep that shoulder still is extremely hard for a man who doesn't sit down much let alone sit still. But God provided a right hand man who is helping him out. Josh is 18 and eager to gain experience in the automotive world. They are quite a good fit for each other. My dad has been self-employed and worked on his own for 34 years so having someone by his side day to day is a big deal. Josh is now a part of the family and Dad really appreciates his help and his willing heart to learn. Our boys love him too. I often hear them playing with their trucks/tractors pretending to be Josh. A young mind is easily influenced and we are thankful for the attitude that Josh has. He couldn't ask for a better "professor" than my dad to teach him. Wisdom is being transferred daily. Dad has a teacher's heart and loves to disciple young men. We are thankful for Dad's right hand man (who happens to be filling in for Dad's left hand at the moment). Here are the two men at work...
