Hiking With Children

We started out on a family adventure this morning to the Pinnacle Overlook near Holtwood. After a 40 minute drive there, everyone and the dog were ready for a fun hike. Things don't last long, as any parents of young children know. They tucker out fast. Walking sticks are fun to carry but only for so long. Hiking is fun, but going piggy back on Daddy is much better. So, after a short hike, there was lots of tears, fussing, and hungry children (and maybe parents too). We had a picnic lunch and made it home in time for some good play time out on the hammock and good ol' Sunday afternoon naps! Holiday weekends, how we love thee!
