Barn Renovations, Baby Baths, and A Color Run...

It's been a busy week here. Eric started a huge barn renovation project. After 30 years, the roof and siding are beyond tired. So, currently one side of the roof is brand new metal and the other is still shingles. Little by little, we are seeing progress. And the kids are loving all the wood scraps available to make things out of. Below is a "skateboard box" and the letter "I" for Isaac. Grandpa Martin came a few days to help out so he has been teaching the boys about how to use a hammer, etc. It's been fun watching Eric's vision for the barn come to life. And within the next few months, there is going to be some new livestock around here. More on that later...

In addition to the barn project, Eric, Malakai and I have been training for the Color Run 5k. We ran it this morning in the rain together with a few other good friends. Messy. Chaotic. Fun. Memorable. So proud of Malakai for sticking with it and running the whole race at just 8 years old!

We also tackled the mulching this past week. Malakai scored his first goal of the season with Upward Soccer. Preschool and elementary school field trips galore and starting to think about summer trips. Spring has sprung and we are running at top speed to keep up with all the things that are on the horizon. We are thankful for our health and our kiddos. It's never dull!
