Roanna's Track Meet
Eric's sister, Roanna is a freshman at Messiah College. She is on the track and field team and yesterday they had an invitational. We wanted to go and cheer her on so we loaded up Malakai and enjoyed the beautiful day outside. It really did feel like summer, but without the humidity and without our tans! Great job, Roanna! We are so proud of you and Malakai loved having one-on-one time with Aunt Roanna. Only a few more weeks of classes...the end is in sight and you can do it. We love you.

Afternoon Fun
I was playing with Malakai in his room today and wanted to capture some moments of his "tummy time" routine. He can last longer and longer these days. It's amazing how tired it makes him. He went right to sleep when he was finished. You'll see how Gideon begs to be in the nursery with us. He is one jealous "older brother"!

Spring is Coming
Yesterday was a gorgeous spring day. Eric's cousins from Mechanicsburg came down for a visit. They hadn't met Malakai yet, and Bruce & Joleen just had a little girl, Brooklyn on February 9th that we hadn't met. We had lunch at the Prince St. Cafe and enjoyed holding each other's kiddos. They got Malakai these cute little sunglasses so we put them on and were laughing hysterically. He really looked like a little Ray Charles!
We went to Life Center this morning and got some pictures by the daffodils afterwards. Malakai looked like a such a little man in his vest and button-down shirt. It's so fun dressing him up, but it sure doesn't stop him from spitting up on his clothes. He got this one about 3 or 4 times! Then later on this afternoon, all of us (Gideon too) went for a hike up in Mount Gretna. Malakai loves to go on hikes with us in his Ergo baby carrier. It usually puts him to sleep within the first 5 minutes. And the day was complete with a stop on the way home at Twin Kiss for some soft serve ice cream!

George & Jean - 3.30.08
This past Sunday afternoon, Eric and I had the opportunity to shoot our first wedding since Malakai joined our family. Grandpa and Grandma Landis didn't mind a bit that they had some babysitting to do:) The wedding took place at Blossom Hill Mennonite Church here in Lancaster, PA. George and Jean were so laid back and fun to work with. The reception was catered by Oregon Dairy and the food was amazing. A chocolate fountain, fresh fruits and veggies, wraps, and some delicious cupcakes were a few of my favorites. George's brothers sang some classic southern gospel songs and invited all of the wedding guests to sing along. Even the photographer knew "We Have This Moment" and I got a little choked up thinking about how fast Malakai will grow up. George and Jean, you are a very special couple and it was such a testimony to hear how the LORD led you together step by step by step. You have been obedient and faithful and now you have been given the gift of each other's friendship in marriage. Many blessings as you begin your new journey together.
