Malakai's 6 Month Photo Shoot

Want to work up a good sweat? Well then, take some pictures of your own kids by yourself sometime. It's so hard to get them to look at the camera, and then smile, and not fall over, and not drool, and...well, it's all worth it in the end. Malakai is 6 months old and doing new things every day. He's been sitting on his own for a few weeks now. Just this morning I had him on the floor and watched him roll over from his back to his belly for the first time. I got all excited and made him do it over and over again and then I had a reality check...that means he'll be crawling before too long and then walking and then...oh my! One day at at time. He's so sweet and I love getting to know him better every day. Here's my little man...

Kurt & Kelly - 5.31.08

Ask and it shall be given to you...that's what we did on Saturday. We asked the LORD to hold back the rain so we could get some outside shots before Kurt & Kelly's wedding and He did just that. We had about an hour and a half to get bridal party shots and as soon as we were finished, the rains came tumbling down. I overheard Kelly saying later, "I'm so happy! We got to do all the pictures we wanted beforehand and as soon as we were done, it started raining. God is so good!" What an awesome gift on your wedding day.

Kurt & Kelly are a beautiful couple and it is so obvious that they are totally in love with each other. During some formal poses I had them just look into each other's eyes and I saw Kelly start tearing up. I asked her if she was alright. "Yeah, it's just so emotional looking right into his eyes like that," she said. Now, that's love! The newlyweds got to drive Kurt's grandpa's convertible Mercedes to The Liberty Place in Lancaster City where their reception was held. Kurt & Kelly, your lives as individuals have touched so many people. I can only imagine the impact that your marriage will have on the world. You are truly radiant from the inside...out.

Dave & Liz's Wedding

Yesterday, my life-long friend, Liz got married. Unlike most weddings I attend, I wasn't the photographer for once...I was a bridesmaid. It was such a fun day for me. I forgot how enjoyable it is to be on the other side of the camera. Liz and I have known each other from birth. Our parents live about a mile apart, we went to high school and church together and have stayed closely connected through the years. Even though there are 13 hours between us we have managed to talk on skype and even see each other through the cameras on our wonderful mac computers! She met Dave in the Philippines where they were on staff together at a ministry called Hope for the Nations. I couldn't be more excited for these newlyweds. It is incredible to see how the LORD has brought their two lives together for such a time as this. Dave & Liz, may all your dreams come true. I love you both so much. Here's a few images of the bachelorette party and wedding day. They got married at the Stone Mill Inn in Hallam, PA and it was absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking for an outdoor wedding sight, this is my new favorite that I'm recommending.
