My mom asked me to take a picture for her of a bare tree to hang in her house somewhere. I have been looking around for the perfect tree and the other day I found it. The bean tree in dad's back field. Dad shared with me how, as a young boy, he used to pick up potatoes in the fields all around that tree. A few years ago, I did some anniversary portraits for mom and dad and they requested some by that beloved tree. It's gorgeous in the fall with big yellow/orange leaves and of course bean pods everywhere. Dad even carved out a little place to sit on the gnarly trunk. Somehow it even looks beautiful without any leaves on, don't you think?
