California Trip

This past week Eric and I had the privilege and honor of photographing a friend's wedding in California. I am now 25 weeks along and Eric still loves taking pregnancy portraits of me as our baby (and my belly) continues to grow. Orange trees were a highlight for us as we picked fresh oranges for breakfast a few days. While we were there we did some sight seeing. Thursday we went to Huntington Beach for the day and then out for dinner that night. Definitely puts our east coast beaches to shame. Friday we drove through the mountains to Big Bear Lake. Simply breathtaking! On the way, we stopped in at Mile High Pines Camp which is where Eric's dad did his voluntary service about 40 years ago. He helped to build several stone walls which we sat on. The wedding was Saturday and then on Sunday we went to a Dodgers game in LA. They ended up winning 7-6 in the 11th inning after we had just left the stadium because we were all fried and tired after 5 hours of being there. It was so fun to get away for a few days from the normal routine of life but we were both ready to see Malakai again and be home. Wedding pics will come, eventually. Lots to catch up on.
