I knew it was going to be an incredible day when I met with them a few months back to book their wedding. Josey and Linda and their families are from India and then moved to Kenya to be missionaries. They grew up together and are now both studying to be doctors. Josey is on the road to getting his Ph.D. And Linda is going to be a medical doctor. Eventually, after their schooling is finished, they are hoping to go back to Kenya.
The wedding celebration was like nothing I've ever attended or photographed. Most of the women wore traditional Indian dresses called the sari. It is one continuous piece of fabric 6 yards long. I watched Linda get into hers. I don't think I could do it, at least not gracefully. Indian women are simply beautiful. After a mostly traditional American wedding, with a few Indian traditions woven in, we were off to celebrate the new couple's marriage at the Eden Resort. Eric and I enjoyed watching the traditional Indian dances and were amazed at how widespread the guests were in attendance. There were people that came from all over the United States as well as India, Kenya, the UK, etc. It felt like a little piece of heaven came to earth on this day.
Josey & Linda, you are one fabulous couple filled and overflowing with love for every tribe, tongue, and nation. Your love is captivating, not only the love you have for each other, but the love you have for Jesus. I have no doubt that you will share His love with many, many people all over this world.
