Women of Faith, Women of Strength

This photo session has been a long time in the making. Dara is one of my wedding clients from two years ago. Her and her husband currently grace the front of my business card :) She had a referral bonus that she wanted to redeem and so this portrait session was birthed. There were four generations of women included from Dara's family line and I was honored to watch them interacting. Dara came to me months ago with this idea of women of faith, women of strength. She had seen some images of women displaying their femininity as well as the warrior within them at the same time. Thus the sword. Each woman brought some things that represented who they were and what activities they enjoy, a little piece of their identity if you will. We laughed so hard together! It was definitely all of our first times posing with a sword so we had some awkward moments. It was a special night of celebration for these ladies. After a 2.5 hour photo session with me, they enjoyed some pizza together.
