9 Years of Love

To celebrate our 9th anniversary, we were able to get away overnight to the Cameron Estate in Mount Joy while the boys hung out with Grandpa and Grandma. I had my first experience with lamb chops (delicious!), and our friend, Kara who is a massage therapist came and did massages on each of us in our room. Heavenly! After a good breakfast, we took a walk around the grounds. This place is amazing and is not only a bed and breakfast but a wedding venue as well. If you are looking for an outdoor spot to tie the knot, definitely check this one out. It feels like you are in the garden of Eden. We had no plans. Felt incredible to let all other responsibilities go. Eric even turned off his cell phone (a very rare and treasured occasion). We ended up going on a short hike at Chiques Rock and then headed to The Brasserie to have lunch on their deck. Then we realized it was market day in the city so we walked around and got some baked goodies for dessert and then looked around in this really great store called Tell Us 360. Yes, it was less than 24 hours of childless refreshment but oh so refreshing for our marriage. And as always, it was good to see our boys again. Distance makes the heart grow fonder :)
