Martin Family Weekend

Every winter, we go to the cabin with Eric's family for a weekend getaway. This year we left in the pouring down rain, stopped for a great meal at Hoss's, and traveled on icy mountain roads to get to our warm and cozy cabin. Saturday we had a yummy brunch and drove out to Trough Creek State Park for a hike. What we didn't realize was how icy the trails would be. We definitely could've used our cleats! Everyone was a trooper and we made our way to the top of the mountain. Afterwards we jumped into our cars, thawed out our fingers and toes and went back to the cabin for an evening of games (Hilarium and 4 on the Couch). We decided to watch Cheaper by the Dozen to end the night with some good laughs. Sunday morning we spent some time just sharing what all is happening in each of our lives and prayed for each other. It was a refreshing weekend to be with our family and enjoy each other's company. It's something we all look forward to every year. Here are some pictures from our icy hike.
