Saturday was green bean day. Eric picked, mom and I cleaned, and Malakai and Gideon did their best to be helpful. After we had them cleaned, Eric ran them through the frencher and then mom and I blanched and bagged them. We got 15 quart and added to the other 43 that mom already did we now have 58. The goal is 100 so we are over half way there. I have grown up helping with canning and freezing vegetables and fruits so even though it is labor intensive, it is very rewarding to eat your own fruits and veggies in the middle of winter.
