Weston & Sara: Married

They are two peas in a pod and love each other deeply. You can easily sense it the first few minutes you are with them. Sara was one of my field hockey girls when I coached at Lancaster Mennonite. A genuine sweetheart. I was honored to be able to photograph her and Weston's wedding. They are the first of 7 siblings (between the two families) to get married so of course this was a very exciting day for their families.

I cannot sing enough praises about Lime Spring Farm. Such a great variety of locations to photograph in and the event planners are wonderful to work with. And on top of all that goodness, the day was gorgeous. Not a cloud in sight, although it was plenty warm but there were cold drinks to help cool us down.

My two favorite details of the day was 1. Hess's BBQ as the caterer. Holy moly, they did not hold back. Stations of incredible food (meat, potatoes, several different salads, stuffed salmon, etc) had everyone's bellies filled to satisfaction. And 2. Fractured Prune donuts instead of a wedding cake. What a great idea! After they did their "donut sharing" everyone mobbed the table to get their favorite kind.

Off to the Dominican Republic the new couple went. They are moving to Philly where Weston will start med school in the fall and Sara will continue her career as a nurse. Weston and Sara, you are one amazing couple. There are many people who are looking up to you and watching the example you are setting. Weston's best man, Jordan gave a very honorable speech about him . He said, "Sometimes we see Jesus best by the people around us and I think that most days, Weston looks a lot like Him." I had to wipe the tears away after that one. This is the kind of couple Weston and Sara are. The kind that is set apart, for such a time as this. Many blessings to you both!
